But it is also designed to be ap- proachable—with performance fabrics and plenty of room to stretch out on the sectional. “Our clients were very flexible with the amount of creativity,” Gray adds. That included taking space that might usually be a formal living room and designating it as something more useful to a family with five kids. “This room is the first room you see when you walk into the home if you look to the right,” says Gray. “Our clients wanted to convert into a playroom that works for all of the children.” “I’m really happy and proud of this project,” says Gray, “because we were able to accomplish a half-million dollar renovation and furnishing in the middle of the pandemic.” She also likes that the home feels cohesive, while still varying to fit the mood of each space. “You go from a very masculine basement area—which spans from the movie the- ater to the shoe room to the hanging-out rooms— to a super useful, family-friendly but stylish living area to a very pink and purple kid’s room.” And how does the family feel, having lived through every step of the renovation because of the pandemic? Gray reports happily: “They loved it." ■
