This bill, an urgency measure, appropriates $672 to the Department of General Services (DGS) for the payment of two government claims. An act relating to state claims, making an appropri- ation therefor, and declaring the urgency thereof, to take effect immediately. 2025 Senate Government Laws SB X1-1, Wiener. Budget Act of 2024. Amends the 2024 Budget Act to allow additional funding to be made available to the Department of Justice for litigation challenges of federal policy that adversely impact the state, its taxpayers, and residents. An act to amend the Budget Act of 2024 (Chs. 22, 35, and 994, Stats. 2024), by amending Sections 5.25 and 39.10 of that act, relating to the state budget, and making an appropriation therefor, to take effect im- mediately, budget bill. SB X1-2, Wiener. Budget Act of 2024. Amends the 2024 Budget Act to provide $25 million of additional General Fund resources for immigration and legal aid services An act to amend the Budget Act of 2024 (Chs. 22, 35, and 994, Stats. 2024), by amending Section 99.50 of, and by adding Section 5.26 to, that act, relating to the state budget, and making an appropriation there- for, to take effect immediately, budget bill. SB X1-3, Wiener. Budget Act of 2024. This bill amends the 2024 Budget Act to authorize emergency expenditure authority related to the 2025 Los Ange- les wildfires. An act to amend the Budget Act of 2024 (Chs. 22, 35, and 994, Stats. 2024), by amending Items 2240- 001-0001 and 7760-001-0001 of Section 2.00 of, by amending Sections 39.00 and 99.50 of, and by adding Section 90.01 to, that act, relating to the state budget, and making an appropriation therefor, to take effect immediately, budget bill. SB 101. Wiener . Budget Act of 2025. This bill con- tains the Budget Act of 2025. This bill represents a budget package that authorizes General Fund expen- ditures of $231.9 billion and assumes $251.9 billion in total General Fund resources. Under this budget act, there are combined total reserves of $13.2 bil- lion, with $11.2 billion in the Budget Stabilization Account (BSA), and $2 billion in the Special Fund for Economic Uncertainties (SFEU). This reflects a leg- islative agreement on a budget plan that reflects the difficult choices the state faces in the 2025-26 bud- get year and future years. The Legislature’s budget plan contains a total of $12.3 billion in solutions for 2025-26. The measure provides a balanced approach, with the solutions coming from program reductions of $3.5 billion, $7.8 billion in borrowing / revenue solutions and $1 billion in other solutions, such as funding shifts.
