Nursery Round - up Nursery News From Mrs Donna Kershaw - Highgrove Nursery Manager

A huge thank you to all of the parents who went to such effort to send in such lovely outfits for world book day! We had an Astronaut, a gruffalo, a very hungry caterpillar, ‘ Supertato ’, ‘ Zog ’, ‘ The tiger who came to tea ’, princesses and many more! The children shared lots of different stories brought from home throughout the day as well as having lots of fun role playing together in their character outfits. Puddleducks celebrated St David's Day this week, looking at and discussing different flowers. Tiggywinkles children continued to be interested in animals. This week they have enjoyed using the magnifying glasses in the natural sensory tray full of different leaves, grasses and sticks and also using the materials to make some lovely natural leaf collages. Cottontails have thoroughly enjoyed the role play area this week exploring the sensory tray full of crushed weetabix and hidden vegetables. The children have been using the mini trowels to dig up the vegetables which they have had fun with. The children have also explored paint this week using their feet, creating patterns as they walked and crawled up and down a large sheet of paper.
