Governance Structure and Composition

The Board comprises six members, who together possess a range of expertise, competencies and experience, backgrounds, cultures and genders, ensuring the proper functioning of the Board. All Board members are required to annually declare their direct or indirect interests and those of their connected entities.

The Board is Kum Shing's highest governance body. Comprising Executive Directors and Non-executive Directors, the Board provides oversight and strategic direction to the Group for long-term value creation and sustainable business goals. The Board's leadership also steers the Group towards responsible operations and the highest standards of ethics and integrity.

Past Experience Mr Rex Wong JP has over 20 years of experience in energy and environmental infrastructure development and corporate management. He joined Kum Shing as Project Manager in 2008. Since 2009, he has led business development in the Mainland, establishing real estate investment and property development practice focusing on urban renewal and adaptive reuse projects. Having implemented a total quality management system, he led the corporation to win the Hong Kong Management Association (HKMA) Quality Award. Promoted to Deputy CEO in 2015, Rex demonstrated competent leadership by securing key business and transformation opportunities before becoming CEO in 2019. He was appointed as Chairman in November 2024. Since 2011, Rex has served on various advisory and statutory bodies while actively contributing to industry development and various aspects of society. In 2020, he was appointed as a Justice of the Peace by the Hong Kong Government. In 2022, he received the Young Industrialist Award of Hong Kong from the Federation of Hong Kong Industries.
