Remuneration and Benefits

Employee Survey This Year, we partnered with a consultant to conduct a group-wide employee experience survey, gathering direct feedback on various aspects of the work experience. The survey achieved an 88% participation rate, reflecting a high level of employee engagement. We followed up with internal reviews, focus groups and communications. Our CEO hosted townhall meetings with individual teams and colleagues at remote offices to address key findings and reinforce transparency. We have since improved several areas of internal support, including processes and procedures, to better assist employees and enhance business value.

Year, building on last year's enhancement of maternity and paternity leave. This change better supports working fathers in balancing professional and family responsibilities. Additionally, we introduced family celebration leave, giving eligible employees one paid day off for meaningful family occasions, from birthdays and anniversaries to adoptions and children's graduations. We recognise that people have different needs at different life stages and deserve the flexibility to celebrate what matters most to them.

Sports & Recreation Club The Kum Shing Sports & Recreation Club organises a wide range of staff activities, from sports like running and hiking to arts and volunteering. Its executive committee includes representatives from various departments and grades. These activities promote physical well-being, creativity, teamwork and community engagement, fostering a holistic sense of growth and well-being within Kum Shing. Staff Activities By promoting the health and well-being of our employees, we are building a stronger company and contributing to a more sustainable society. We encourage our staff to lead active, balanced lives. Team sports are one of our key initiatives, enhancing both physical fitness and team bonds. Recognising the importance of mental well-being in navigating workplace and personal challenges, we complemented our regular health talks with sessions led by psychotherapists and counsellors. Topics included stress management, positive thinking during times of change, and supporting colleagues through emotional stress.

We offer competitive remuneration packages and incentives to attract, retain and motivate talented individuals with a strong interest in the construction industry. Remuneration and compensation packages, and other benefits are regularly reviewed based on objective criteria, industry standards and market trends.

To reinforce our commitment to family-friendliness, we increased paternity leave from five to seven days this

Performance Management and Recognition

We prioritise transparency, ensuring all employees clearly understand our human resources policies and our expectations. Our Employee Handbook and human resources codes are communicated to both new hires and existing employees through various channels, including onboarding, corporate intranet and annual declaration exercise. Employees can raise concerns to their respective Head of Department, the Head of Human Resources, or directly to the Group’s CEO if the concerns involve the Head of Human Resources.

Social Gatherings

To foster a motivating workplace, managerial staff and their teams are encouraged to communicate openly and provide constructive feedback in day-to-day operations. We conduct mid-year performance reviews and annual performance assessments to ensure alignment with objectives and evaluate individual performance. We offer performance-based bonuses and incentive bonuses to reward and motivate employees for their contributions. Employee Rights and Human Resources Policies To safeguard the rights of our employees, we have a set of human resources policies, procedures and practices in place. These cover recruitment, dismissal, compensation, benefits and welfare, training, transfer, promotion, working hours, rest periods, equal opportunity, diversity, non-discrimination, anti-harassment and labour standards.
