To ensure transparency and accessibility, both project management and senior management have access to the safety performance dashboard. This allows closely monitoring of safety performance, ensuring prompt action when necessary. Additionally, safety performance is regularly reported to senior management for thorough review, strategic discussions and implementation of improvements.

Training and Promotions
Routine Safety Training Our routine safety training builds a culture of workplace safety and preparedness, ensuring our employees and workers are well-equipped to maintain a safe working environment.
The HSEQ convention is an annual event that cultivates safety culture as part of our key safety engagement initiatives. It brings together our staff, workers, management, and representatives from clients and subcontractors. The 2024 HSEQ convention was held in July with over 1,200 participants. This year's programme covered diverse HSEQ topics, including 4S, CyView, CIC Frontline Personnel Safety Performance Recording Scheme, heat stroke prevention, muscle stretching training, and HSEQ and sustainability strategies for construction sites. We also held sessions across various projects, including a dedicated session for ethnic minority employees.
We identify and deliver training and promotional activities to equip staff and workers, both new and existing, with essential knowledge of work-related hazards, risks and control measures.
Emergency Preparedness
Our Emergency Management Plan implemented at the corporate level provides a framework for emergency procedures, strategies and prevention measures for various incidents. It aims to reduce the likelihood and impact of the incidents while safeguarding employees and information assets. This plan enables quick, systematic emergency handling and resolution, facilitating rapid operational recovery. Each emergency response team member has clearly defined roles and responsibilities. The team oversees emergency management protocols, facilitates external and internal communication during incidents, maintains essential communication infrastructure, and controls and coordinates real-time incident response to reduce impact. Our emergency response framework incorporates a four- level action system to categorise and assess incidents based on severity and the required response. By evaluating each incident, we determine the most appropriate action level and implement tailored and swift response plans that reduce their impact on our operations, employees and assets. We develop specific emergency plans for major projects, considering the unique challenges and potential risks associated with each undertaking. These tailored plans address project-specific emergencies, ensuring a focused approach to incident mitigation and response.

Performance Monitoring and Evaluation
We gather feedback and suggestions on occupational health and safety matters from employees, subcontractors and visitors through various channels, such as regular meetings, safety walks, training sessions and suggestion boxes. This input enables continuous improvement of our management system. Data-driven Monitoring and Analysis We established the Safety Performance Index to measure and evaluate safety performance across projects and the entire organisation. This index provides a comprehensive view of our safety performance, encompassing key metrics, and both leading and lagging indicators. Using these indicators, we can pinpoint areas for improvement, set safety goals and track our progress over time. This data-driven approach enables us to make informed decisions, allocate resources effectively, and continuously enhance our safety culture and practices.
Four-level Safety Training To enhance safety competence across all organisation levels, we have developed a four-level safety training framework tailored to the specific responsibilities and needs of each employee category.
Safety Sharing We communicate valuable lessons from industry failures and recent safety incidents to employees and workers through various channels, such as safety alert newsletters, all-level meetings, project team briefings and routine safety training sessions. This ensures crucial safety information reaches all relevant personnel. Sharing these insights keeps individuals informed about potential risks, preventive measures and best practices. It fosters a culture of continuous learning and heightened awareness, empowering employees at all levels to make informed decisions and approach their work with a safety- first mindset. This drives proactive steps to enhance safety and reduce the occurrence of preventable incidents.
