1 GHG inventory was calculated in accordance with ISO14064:2018 "Greenhouse gases — Part 1: Specification with guidance at the organisation level for quantification and reporting of greenhouse gas emissions and removals". Global Warming Potential (GWP) values referenced "Sixth Assessment Report" by IPCC. Scope 3 emissions were restated for 2023/24, 2022/23 and 2021/22 due to water bill adjustments, while the 2023/24 figure also included calculation adjustments for business air travel. These led to minor changes in GHG emissions (Scope 1,2&3) and GHG intensity (Scope 1,2&3). 2 Scope 1 – Direct GHG emissions from company-owned vehicles, and cooling and fire extinguishing equipment at headquarters office and depot. The decrease in 2024/25 was mainly due to the reductions in diesel and gasoline consumption by company-owned vehicles. 3 Scope 2 – Indirect GHG emissions from purchased electricity for headquarters office and depot. 4 Scope 3 – Other indirect GHG emissions from purchased paper, fresh water and sewage processing for headquarters office and depot, waste collected at headquarters office and depot for recycling and landfills, business air travel, as well as purchased barriers and water barriers, outsourced shuttle bus services and outsourced ferry services for project use. The rise in 2024/25 was mainly driven by increased purchases of barriers. 5 Air emissions were calculated in accordance with "Appendix 2: Reporting Guidance on Environmental KPIs" by HKEX. Company-owned vehicles were the major source of air emissions. The rise of NOx emissions in 2024/25 was primarily due to increased usage of heavy goods vehicles, despite overall reductions in diesel and gasoline consumption by company-owned vehicles. 6 Hazardous waste intensity figures for 2023/24 were restated due to calculation adjustments. Starting in 2023/24, hazardous waste figures included electronic waste from headquarters office collected by qualified licensee for recycling and toner cartridges sent to vendor’s recycling programme. The 2022/23 figures only included toner cartridges. 7 Non-hazardous waste recycled included paper, plastics, metals, and others (e.g., coffee grounds). The non-hazardous waste landfilled for 2023/24 was restated due to adjustments in paper to landfills. 8 Energy consumption was calculated in accordance with "Appendix 2: Reporting Guidance on Environmental KPIs" by HKEX. 9 Water consumption and intensity figures for 2023/24 and 2022/23 were restated due to water bill adjustments.
