The New Rules of Retirement Saving | Stonewood Select

The New Norm? Most safe alternatives to the stock market rely on interest rates. And relatively low interest rates will likely continue in the midterm. Interest rates have been falling steadily since the mid-1980s, reaching historically-low levels before rising recently. However, it is unlikely we will see sustained periods of high interest rates - and there's a good reason why. For one, our government wants c ompanies to be able to afford to hire workers , and workers to be able to afford to buy bread, milk, cars, and clothes at prices that aren’t pumped up by inflation. And we’ve seen that to be true as the Fed wrestles to get the current bout of inflation under control.
