The Role of The Head of Energy & Sustainability
The Head of Energy and Sustainability is accountable for developing and leading on UPP’s Energy and Sustainability strategies, policies and resulting plans. Reducing energy consumption, cutting carbon and costs across our national portfolio are important drivers. You will assume a compelling leadership position within the organisation, positioning UPP as a progressive organisation with a strong and commercial environmental agenda. A significant influencer, both within the business, and with our partners, supply chain and shareholders, you will drive change across environmental and cost focussed initiatives. You will build and manage relationships with our senior leaders and partners ensuring any strategies, policy and plans are integrated effectively across all that we do. This will also include the identification of strategic relationships across the business as well as leading on internal working groups. The role will work across the business to coordinate the collective efforts, proactively set meaningful goals and leading on a programme of initiatives associated with energy/carbon reduction realised through behavioural and systematic change.
Our goal is for UPP to become a sector leader for energy and sustainability.
