TRIO trip to the Battleship New Jersey Museum & Memorial Fall 2021
TRIO SSS is a unique and federally-funded program designed to assist highly motivated students by providing extra support and services to enhance their overall experience at HCC. Applicants to TRIO must meet at least one of the following criteria*: •First-generation college student (neither parent has earned a four-year degree) •Income eligibility as defined by the Department of Education •Having a documented disability as defined by the Americans with Disabilities Act Spaces in the program are limited to 175 students each year. Admission is selective.

The ideal TRIO SSS candidate has a least a 2.00 GPA, is enrolled full-time (or at least 9 credits per semester for students who have earned less than 30 college credits), has not yet completed a college degree, and is planning to earn a degree or certificate at HCC. Acceptable review of the student’s HCC conduct record by the chief student affairs officer (behavioral violations) and the chief academic affairs officer (academic integrity violations). Eligibility does not guarantee acceptance to the program.
