Qualifications/ Education • Degree level education plus a post graduate management qualification. • Professional qualification (Engineering or construction discipline) Professionals/ Statutory Registration • Relevant capital projects professional registration eg architect, engineering, surveying or in construction or design. Previous experience • Relevant experience in a project and programme leadership role with responsibility for procuring and managing major capital programmes : - in excess of £50m in value. - in live, physically congested, high public footfall, urban environments. • Strategic planning including sourcing options and procurement for major capital programmes. • Strong knowledge and experience of contract management and procurement, cost management and budgeting and supply chain management. • In depth experience of managing capital construction projects gained working for large multi-site organisations. • Relevant experience working in a senior position for a large organisation. Knowledge • Awareness of change management tools and techniques • Excellent understanding of capital programme delivery. • Highly developed communication skills, with ability to communicate highly complex information where exceptional influencing skills are required.
• Highly developed leadership skills with the ability to enthuse, motivate and involve individuals and teams, and have them understand the Trust-wide and local performance expectations.
