he had a strange-sounding name—Sr. Marie Robrecht, ICM. Robrecht is French for Robert, according to another Belgian nun whom I asked. Sister Robrecht was our teacher in Grade 6, teaching us religion (now called Christian living). And when I went to first-year high in the same school— St. Theresa’s College in Quezon City—she was our class adviser (now called homeroom teacher). In my second year until I graduated, she was the adviser of the Eucharistic Crusaders, so I had quite a few years of experiencing her in various capacities, all very positive experiences. That was way back about 45 years ago! Sister Robrecht has returned home—not only to her birth country in Belgium, but permanently to her Father in Heaven. But memories of her flit into my mind when we Theresians get together for homecom- ings, or when I meet young girls in blue-and-white uniforms.
