importance of team work. She also taught us to think out of the box and see the bigger picture: that we were not only think- ing for ourselves but for the common good. I may have lost the old “calling” to be a teacher but I am proud to say that now I know what I’m doing. My teachers are making it all possible: securing a diploma, landing a high-paying job to take care of my future family. Professor Mendoza is not just a mere employee in an institution, she’s a molder of workers of the future. I may not be the perfect student, but Professor Mendoza steered me toward the right path. She changed my views on life and taught me how to value work. One year from now, I hope to receive the fruits of my hard work, but never will I forget a teacher who helped me to get up and fight to the end.
