THE KING’S BUSINESS

all is everlastingly well, never fear. A minister friend of mine lately met a feeble old man, a member of his flock. It was a stormy night of wind and rain. The old back was bent nigh to the ground with a big bun dle, yet the old brave limbs and the old brave heart held on homeward through it all. “Hallo, friend, this i? a terrible night for you to be out in, and laden like that, too.” “Ay, ay, sir, but I ’ll warsle home!” Ah! be liever in Jesus, buffeted, battled and beaten in this storm of earthly life, I greet you! It’s a rough road this, and a fearful night to be out in. “Ay, ay, sir,” you say with the full heart of a God-helped assurance, “but I’ll warsle hame! I ’ll warsle hame!” Hallelujah! “My hope is built on nothing less Than Jesus’ blood and righteousness; I dare not trust the sweetest frame, But wholly lean on Jesus’ Name.
nity on the “Rock of Ages.” Dear, dear soul, hasten to the Cross! “Be lieve on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved!” “Oh, come, sinner, come! ’tis mercy’s call: Here at Jesus’ feet! Oh, come, and repenting, lay thy all Down at Jesus’ feet!” “Oh, come, bless the Lord, there’s room for thee Here at Jesus’ feet! Thy burden of gifilt, whate’er it be, Lay at Jesus’ feet!” Christian, Christ’s one, on the sure- standing foundation of God, known of the Lord, departing in the Holy Ghost from all iniquity, it is true you are not as you might be, but, praise His blessed Name! you are not as you once were. You feel the powers of eternity pro and con, for and against, of Christ and of the devil! Poor feeble, fainting soul, take com fort. Jesus is bigger than the devil! The Holy Ghost is mightier than Hell! You have the Holy Ghost, and
On Christ, the solid Rock, I stand, All other ground is sinking sand.”
Only Trust Him
Trust the Ascended One,, Seated on high; Through Him to the Father Alone we draw nigh. Trust in the Living One: None can thee sever From Him who was dead But now liveth forever. Trust in the Coming One, Coming for thee; Soon with Him in glory Safe home thou shalt be.
'T'RUST in the Loving One, Jesus thy Friend, Who loveth thee always, And loves to the end. Trust in the Dying One; Atonement He made; He all the wrath has borne, He thy debt paid. Trust in the Risen One, Mighty to save; For He will yet destroy Both death and the grave.
Trust in the Reigning One, Never to fall; Trust, love and praise Him, Christ, all in all. — Selected.
