HAPPY SHARDIYA NAVRATRI
What is Shardiya Navratri? Shardiya Navratri is a nine-day Hindu festival, celebrated each autumn, dedicated to Goddess Durga and her nine divine forms. The word Navratri means “nine nights,” and each night is devoted to honoring her strength, compassion, and energy (Shakti). Why it’s Celebrated The festival symbolizes the triumph of good over evil, remembering Goddess Durga’s victory over the demon Mahishasura. It is also a time for renewal, positivity, and spiritual growth. Traditions & Joy Prayers & Fasts: Devotees seek blessings for peace and prosperity. Ghatasthapana: A sacred pot (Kalash) is installed on the first day as a symbol of divine energy. Nine Days, Nine Goddesses: Each day honors a different form of Durga. Garba & Dandiya: Colorful dances and celebrations bring communities together. Durga Puja: In many regions, Navratri culminates in grand Durga Puja festivities. Wishing you and your loved ones a joyful and blessed Navratri!
HAPPY YOM KIPPUR
Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement, is the holiest day in the Jewish calendar. It is a solemn day dedicated to fasting, prayer, and reflection.
Traditions Fasting: A 25-hour fast from food and drink. Prayer Services: Special synagogue services including Kol Nidre and Ne’ilah. Reflection & Forgiveness: A time to make amends with others and begin the year renewed. End of the Day Yom Kippur concludes with the Ne’ilah service and the sounding of the shofar (ram’s horn), followed by a break-fast meal with family and friends. Significance Yom Kippur closes the “Ten Days of Awe” that begin with Rosh Hashanah. It is a powerful reminder of forgiveness, unity, and new beginnings.

FACILITIES FRONT LINE
We are introducing a new lighting automation system across the clubhouse, designed by LDI and powered by Cooper Lighting. This system will allow us to tailor lighting in every space with precision and efficiency. Each member area can be programmed with multiple “scenes” that adjust automatically based on time of day, scheduled activities, or specific events. For example, a dining room may have a warm, intimate setting for dinner, brighter light for daytime use, or a dynamic look for special functions. The development of these scenes will be a team effort, guided by feedback from operations and facilities to ensure optimal efficiency, usability, and ambiance. While the system will be operated remotely by management, local control will remain available where appropriate. One of the key advantages of this system is its reach. Lighting automation will extend to the tennis courts, all member areas of the Club, and our landscape lighting. The system also eliminates the need to adjust manually for daylight savings time, ensuring lighting schedules remain consistent year-round. Beyond flexibility and comfort, lighting automation also brings measurable performance gains. According to the Lighting Controls Association, one study found that buildings employing a lighting control strategy reduced energy use by 24%–38%. In addition, as part of current building energy codes, areas of the Club will be equipped with occupancy sensors, ensuring no space is left dark when occupied, while also preventing wasted energy when rooms are empty. These features help us achieve both energy efficiency and cost savings, while creating a smarter, safer environment for members and staff. As with any new technology, there will be a period of adjustment while we fine-tune the system. We kindly ask for your patience during this optimization phase as we continue to align technology with thoughtful design, bringing us one step closer to outstanding facilities.
