HOW MANY OF YOU WANT TO SIMPLY TELL GOD' THANK YOU'?

AN ATTITUDE OF GRATITUDE

Psalm 103:1-2

“Bless the Lord, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name. Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits.”

Down through the years, Satan has tried to destroy me, but God’s amazing grace reached

down to the middle of my troubles, and the middle of my tears and heartaches. He pulled

me up, told me who I was, and placed my feet on solid ground. Come on, somebody. “Oh,

how I love Jesus because He first loved me. So, I will remain Grateful! Faithful! Joyful!”

How Many Want to Just Tell God Thank You?

A Heart Full of Gratitude

Psalm 107:1 (KJV) – "O give thanks unto the Lord, for he is good: for his mercy endureth

forever."

Church, I just came to ask a straightforward question: How many of you want to simply

tell God' thank you'?

I’m not talking about thanking Him for the obvious things—houses, jobs, or promotions.

I’m talking about thanking Him for the things He did when no one was watching , the

battles He fought for you in secret , and the grace He extended when you didn’t even

realize you needed it .

Some of us have walked through storms we never told anybody about. We smiled in public

while suffering in private. But in the midst of it all, God was there. And if we’re honest,

we didn’t always deserve His help. We weren’t always faithful. But God… oh, but God

remained faithful .

We ought to be like the one leper in Luke 17:15 who, "when he saw that he was healed,

turned back, and with a loud voice glorified God." One out of ten came back just to say,

“ Thank you .” WILL YOU BE THE ONE ?

Satan Tried, But God Blocked It

Isaiah 54:17 – "No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper…"

Let me tell you something: Satan had a plan . He wanted to destroy MY/your mind. He

tried to attack my/your health. He plotted against my/your family, my/your finances, and

my/your faith. But God stepped in . Luke 4:4- It is written, “That man shall not live by

bread alone, but by every word of God.” Bread Is Anything That Sustains Human Life.

How many of you can look back and see moments where it should have gone another

way— but God’s grace intercepted the enemy’s intentions ?

He didn’t stop the weapon from forming, but He made sure it didn’t prosper. Some of us

have been through Depression, Anxiety, Heartbreak , and Betrayal . We’ve been lied on

and lied to, walked out on, and mistreated. But guess what? We’re Still Standing !

2 Corinthians 4:8-9 says, “We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are

perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not

destroyed.”

Satan tried—but he failed . God’s Amazing Grace Reached Me

Ephesians 2:8 – "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it

is the gift of God."

Can we pause for a moment to discuss grace ?

God’s grace is not ordinary. It’s amazing . Why? Because it reaches low. It finds you in

places you wouldn’t tell your friends about. It steps into the mud of your situation without

getting dirty.

David said in Psalm 40:2 , “He brought me up also out of an horrible pit, out of the miry

clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings.”

God didn’t just look at your situation— He stepped into it . He picked you up. Cleaned

you up. Spoke over you. Called you His own . That’s not just mercy—that’s love and grace

working together.

And it’s not because we earned it. It's because He first loved us .

He Told Me Who I Was

Peter 2:9 – "But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a peculiar

people…"

Not only did God save us, but He also redefined us .

The world had labeled you: Failure, Mistake, Addict, Worthless . But God gave you a

new name. He told you who you really are— His child , His workmanship , His beloved .

When God speaks to your identity, it overrides every lie the enemy tried to plant.

He told Gideon, “Thou mighty man of valour,” while Gideon was hiding (Judges 6:12).

He called Peter “the rock,” even though Peter was unstable at times. He called you

righteous even when you felt unworthy.

Romans 8:16-17 says we are children of God , and if children, then heirs —heirs of God,

and joint-heirs with Christ.

Let’s thank Him today not just for what He’s done, but for who He says we are.

He Placed My Feet on Solid Ground

Matthew 7:24-25 – "…a wise man, which built his house upon a rock… the rain

descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell

not: for it was founded upon a rock."

HOW MANY OF YOU WANT TO SIMPLY TELL GOD' THANK YOU'

Some of you may recall a time when your life was on shaky ground. You made decisions

based on emotion, fear, or desperation. But now, you’re standing on something solid .

What changed? Not the Storms . Not the Winds . The foundation changed .

Jesus Christ became your rock, your firm foundation upon which to stand. You stopped

building on the approval of others and started building on His promises. You stopped

leaning on your own strength and started trusting in His power .

Psalm 18:2 – “The Lord is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer…”

When everything else is sinking sand, Jesus remains the rock that never moves.

Oh, How I Love Jesus

John 4:19 – “We love him, because he first loved us.”

Let’s be honest. The reason I love Jesus is not because I always understood Him. It’s not

even because life always made sense. I love Him because He first loved me .

He loved me in my mess.

He loved me in my doubts.

He loved me when I didn’t love myself.

He loved me on the cross. He loved me in the grave. He loved me enough to rise again

with all power so I could have eternal life.

5

HOW MANY OF YOU WANT TO SIMPLY TELL GOD' THANK YOU'

Romans 5:8 – “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet

sinners, Christ died for us.”

How can we not love Him back? How can we not say “Thank you, Jesus!” ?

Just Tell Him Thank You

1 Thessalonians 5:18 - “ Give thanks in every situation, as it is beneficial for your well-

being .”

If you don’t know what else to say in prayer, say thank you .

If you don’t have the words to express your journey, simply tell Him 'Thank you.'

Because thankfulness is not just a reaction—it’s a lifestyle. When I thank Him, I

remember. When I remember, I worship. And when I worship, my perspective shifts.

Psalm 103:2 says, “Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits.”

Can we take a moment to recall all the ways He’s blessed us? All the times He protected

us. Every door that was opened? Each time, a decision was made to prioritize necessities

over desires.

Paul said, “1 Cor.13:1-2 “Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have

not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal. (2) And though I have

the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have

all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing.

Let the redeemed of the Lord say so . Let the thankful rise and say, “ God, I just want to

tell you thank you! ”

around us. We remain faithful by staying loyal and steadfast in our spiritual commitments,

consistently practicing our beliefs, and supporting our spiritual community. We cultivate

HOW MANY OF YOU WANT TO SIMPLY TELL GOD' THANK YOU'

Gracious and Loving Father,

We come before You with hearts overflowing in gratitude. Thank You for being the God

who sees us, saves us, and sustains us. When the enemy tried to destroy us, You raised up

a standard. When we were in the pit, Your amazing grace reached down and lifted us.

When we were unsure of who we were, You reminded us that we are chosen, royal, and

dearly loved.

Lord, we thank You not just for what You’ve done, but for who You are. You are our Rock,

our Redeemer, our Refuge, and our Risen King. We declare today that we love You, not

because we were perfect, but because You loved us first.

Let our lives be a continual offering of praise and thanksgiving. May our words, our walk,

and our worship always say, “Thank You, Jesus.”

And as we leave this place, let us go out grateful, faithful, and joyful —telling a dying

world about a living Savior. In the matchless, mighty, and merciful name of Jesus, we

pray,

Amen.
