Research & Development
Here at Errigal we have a purpose built research & development facility which is used to develop design concepts into buildable finished products. It enables us to run various scenarios on feasibility, buildability and efficiency whilst allowing us to gain a greater understanding on how we coordinate with other trades.
The R&D facility has a floor area of 600m2 (30x20m) therefore we are able to accommodate large scale mock-ups which in the past have included a seven metre high glazed partition in conjunction with an angle feature ceiling. Being a clean and dust-free environment it is also ideal for the application of paint samples and acoustic render systems. A recent project has seen the building of a full scale apartment to allow us to trial various finishes to the walls and ceilings. We were also able to bring some innovative joinery systems into the apartment to understand efficiency and time saving gains.
