Field Law - March 2023

Celebrating Women’s History Month

In 1987 Congress declared March as National Women’s History Month to foster better, more comprehensive historical education on the vital contributions women have made to this country over time. This month we want to honor some important women from U.S. History that you may or may not be familiar with. Each week we are going to share a new article on our blog about a historic woman and the impact she has had on our country. You can find these articles here: www.FieldLawPC.com/ blog or scan the QR code to take you there.

Join us to learn about the following women:

• Emma Lazarus, author of the poem “The New Colossus” inspired by the Statue of Liberty.

• Ida B. Wells, an influential civil rights leader and suffragist from the late 19th and early 20th centuries.

• Alice Paul, a key suffragist leader advocating for the ratification of the 19th constitutional amendment.

• Mabel Ping-Hua Lee, a Chinese immigrant who fought for both women’s right to vote in both the United States and China.

Q: Tell us about your family. A: My husband, Tim, and I have been together for five years and married for just over a year. We have two cats named Wit and Marasi who are hilarious and insane.
