Why Family and Community Engagement Matters
When families are engaged, students succeed and when communities join the effort, success multiplies. Research shows that students with engaged families are twice as likely to earn higher grades, attend school more regularly, and graduate prepared for college and careers. Districts that build family-school partnerships also see measurable improvements in attendance, behavior, and staff morale. Yet many schools struggle to move from involvement to true engagement. Studies reveal that over 60% of educators say they need more time, tools, and training to build authentic relationships with families and community partners.
