Are you ready to share your artwork but need the tools to get started? This class is designed for new and emerging artists who want to navigate the world of art shows, pop-ups, galleries, and other venues with more confidence and clarity. Learn how to: • Identify artist-friendly spaces in your community and beyond • Spot and evaluate open calls that align with your style and goals • Understand what galleries, cafes, and shops are really looking for • Prepare your materials (artist bio, photos, and more) so you’re ready to apply • Avoid common pitfalls and stay motivated when putting yourself out there Take a short quiz to help you identify where you are in your artist journey and discuss which opportunities might be the best fit for you right now. The class will also include real-life examples of calls for art, so you can see how to evaluate and respond to them. In this workshop you’ll discover how to measure and cut a mat that enhances and protects your art. Each participant is invited to bring a piece of art (no larger than 6x8 inches) to mat during the session. We’ll discuss choosing mat colors, safe cutting techniques, and tips for affordable framing options. Leave with your art beautifully matted and ready to frame! Whether you’re a painter, printmaker, photographer, or mixed media artist this workshop will give you information to showcase your art in a polished and professional way. Must pre-register.
