MLC was founded in 1999 to provide comprehensive Child and Family Assessments and Consultations services in the Metro- Atlanta area. The agency broaden services to provide intensive home-based counseling and community integration services for families and children as well as operate an Outpatient Behavioral Treatment program with a Substance Abuse Treatment component. Our professional staff is comprised of a Psychiatrist, Licensed Psychologist, Licensed and Masters level Clinicians, Behavioral Aides, Safecare Parent Educators, Substance Abuse Counselors, Anger Management Counselors, Trauma Focused CBT DBT and Stress Management. MLC is presently providing services in Dekalb, Fulton, Clayton, Henry, and Rockdale County. For the last 16 years, MLC has provided intensive, home-based counseling and community integration services for families and children. Our mission is to assist families in understanding and solving the issues of life in order to be health and remain intact in a healthy community. In 1999, MLC started as a vision to help children and families remain intact by identifying specific needs through a Comprehensive Assessment approach and implementing community collaborative services. We value each individual and believe they are unique, with their own experiences and with guidance, education and support can establish goals to help them “Come into the Marvelous Light.” (1 Peter 2:9). We believe an individual must change your thinking before any lasting change takes place. MLC is a CARF Accredited agency that provides Trauma Informed Recovery care to Children/Adolescents and Adults to promote individual/family emotional, physical and spiritual health. It is our goal to help others “Come into the Marvelous Light….Where we help you understand and solve the issues of Life.” The agency operates 3 CARF Accredited programs that include: • Family Preservation- DFCS /DJJ Services • Behavioral Health Services; and • Crossroads of Life Substance Abuse Program
