Knowledge Skills & Experience

• Experience in the development of M&E engineering strategies in the context of complex development programmes with a wide range of building typologies. • Sound knowledge of sustainable M&E systems and prior involvement in making building life-cycle strategy decisions. • Experience of the co-ordination of all maintenance in relation to the Building Services and plant using internal and external resources. • A professional engineering qualification. • Good knowledge and experience of Quality, Safety, Health & Environmental systems. • Supplier management including assurance of KPIs/SLAs. • Good presentation, influencing and motivation skills to convince or impress others in a way that results in acceptance, agreement or behaviour change, with experience of managing multi-skilled engineering teams. • Experience in Lifecycle planning/costing. • Experience in minor design and preparation of drawings. • Good knowledge of statutory compliance and current legislation, regulations and standards, with experience of managing a site’s statutory compliance. • Management of Building Services: demonstrate organisational skills and the ability to prioritise workloads to ensure deadlines are met. • Excellent client and contractor management skills. • Understand and apply sound commercial and financial principles. • Excellent time management skills with the ability to work under pressure and forward plan. • Experience within a facilities management / contract management function. • Desirable contract/supplier management experience. • The post holder will when the need arises have to work unsociable or non-flexible hours.

Qualifications

•Qualified to a degree level/HND in an engineering discipline. •Chartered or Incorporated Engineer status. •NEBOSH or other Health and Safety qualification desirable. • Experience in computerised PPM.
