Seeing kindness in action across NSW Health Kindness and compassion are key to elevating the human experience for everyone. The Gathering of Kindness is a key initiative of Elevating the Human Experience: Guide to Action, which uses World Kindness Day to continue conversations about a culture of kindness in healthcare delivery. Staff across our facilities and services are invited to get involved. During Gathering of Kindness week, there are several ways for you to take part both virtually and in person. Take a picture with the ‘Kindness is my Superpower’ selfie frames to promote the importance that small acts of kindness play in making a difference in the experiences of our staff, patients, families, and carers in healthcare. Share a picture with us by emailing it to NSLHD-ThePatientExperience@health.nsw.gov.au
Can’t make it to the live sessions? Catch up on panel discussions, keynote sessions and conversations on demand on the Elevating the Human Experience Gathering of Kindness intranet site at a time convenient for you. NSLHD 160 Tales of Kindness NSLHD is again setting a challenge to capture 160 Tales of Kindness from across the district to celebrate the impact kindness can have on people and places. In 2023, 167 tales were captured through the NSLHD compliment portal. Kindness cards will be available for staff to send via the compliments portal* between 11 and 17 November 2024. Staff are invited to send a message of thanks to a colleague for their act of kindness through the portal and reflect on how it can potentially make someone’s day brighter.
