Lights, camera, cozy! Who says your winter wear can’t protect you from the cold and turn heads at the same time? Some of the most iconic, snowy moments from the silver screen prove that no matter how frosty it is outside, you don’t have to skimp on style. From the glamorous coats of classics like “Doctor Zhivago” or the comfort of layered knits in modern favorites like “When Harry Met Sally,” this season, we’re donning the most memorable cold-weather looks captured on film. CLASSY COATS OF YESTERYEAR In the golden age of cinema and beyond, winter coats were a statement of elegance, framed against the backdrop of falling snow and city streets. There’s the iconic tweed duster worn by Jimmy Stewart through much of the holiday classic “It’s a Wonderful Life.” The lengthy “Doctor Zhivago” is filled with glamorous heavy furs, rich textures like wool, and giant, plush hats. And any of the fashionista Audrey Hepburn’s colorful, structured sets or jackets deserve a place on the list, whether it’s her mustard yellow wool dress from “Charade” or her mod orange coat from “Breakfast at Tiffany’s.” FREEZE-FRAME FASHION Iconic Cold-Weather Looks From the Movies

SWEATERS ON THE SET The cozy side of cinema is all about comfy sweaters and knits we could all see ourselves bundling up in. Though Harry’s cream-colored cable-knit sweater in “When Harry Met Sally” is simple, it remains one of the most prominent pullovers to grace the screen. Many of us grew up wearing knitted beanies much like little Kevin McAllister rocked in the “Home Alone” movies. And no list of star-studded sweaters would be complete without “The Dude’s” earth-toned cardigan from “The Big Lebowski” or a bad holiday jumper like Colin Firth’s reindeer getup in “Bridget Jones’ Diary.” WACKY WINTER WONDERS Some of the biggest scene stealers are fashions that go big, whether that’s the Who- themed colorful outfits of “The Grinch” or the ethereal ice dance dress of “Edward Scissorhands.” Think comedic coverings with the silly styles of “Christmas Vacation,” the memorable snowsuits of “Dumb and Dumber,” or even bunny pj’s in “A Christmas Story.” Whatever your scene-stealing sweater or cinematic coat is this season, contact Janet Davis Cleaners to keep them shining bright like a Hollywood star.
