Leadership Institute Recap
This past September, a fleet of Alpha Phis traveled to Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Florida, to hone their leadership skills and deepen their sisterhood connections. This wasn’t just any Disney trip. It was the fifth annual Alpha Phi Leadership Institute, a three-day leadership development experience designed to give collegians an immersive and hands-on curriculum along with the tools they need to lead with purpose, build an environment of trust, understand the impact of their actions and more. A total of 167 collegiate members representing 155 chapters, along with 10 alumnae coaches and two leadership programming consultants (LPCs), packed their bags for a trip of a lifetime from September 25-28, 2025. From the moment they arrived, members stepped into a learning environment shaped by the Disney Institute. Their days were filled with sessions that
revealed how the Disney Chain of Excellence can strengthen chapter service, how genuine care forms the foundation of strong leadership and how personal values can guide decisions both big and small. They explored the power of recognition in shaping performance and happiness and discovered how storytelling can bring a leadership vision to life. Disney Institute also created a true workplace environment by encouraging members to collaborate, troubleshoot and present solutions together, giving them the chance to apply what they learned in real time. Members also visited the parks on Friday and Saturday, where they observed how the themes discussed in the curriculum come to life through the work of Disney cast members. These lessons are designed to help budding leaders establish their own leadership legacy. But don’t take our word for it. Here’s what a few 2025 Leadership Institute attendees said about the experience: “This was truly an amazing experience,” Aubree Noles (Epsilon Xi-Southern Illinois) says. “I feel as though I have learned skills that will stay with me for the rest of my life and change the way I approach being a leader forever.”
