Our Story

Graze More, Feed Less Ever dream of grazing into December… or even January? That’s the norm for us. At Stokka, Kalberer and Ogdahl Ranches, our Red Angus bulls are bred to thrive in North Dakota conditions with fewer inputs. Backed by Ohlde genetics and developed on forage, they work for us — and we think they’ll work for you. Muscle Meets Efficiency We’ve been intentional with our matings to build cattle that are deep- bodied, easy-fleshing and carry real muscle — all in a moderate frame. That combination can be tough to find, but it’s exactly what we aim for. These bulls match our environment and hold condition on forage alone, without giving up shape, thickness or spring of rib. It’s proof you don’t have to sacrifice performance to stay practical. What If Less Was More? What if less feed, less cow size and less stress could lead to more profit, more grazing days and more satisfaction in your cow herd? That’s the philosophy behind the ranches that make up Coverall Cattle — and it’s been working for us in North Dakota winters. These bulls aren’t pampered, but they sure are productive. Our ‘Why’ is Simple We got tired of feeding cows that couldn’t take care of themselves. Big cows, big bills, short grazing seasons. That’s when we started looking for a different path — and found one. Now we raise cattle that fit our resources and goals, and we’re ready to share that path with others. Our philosophy is ranch-tested and North Dakota tough. Want to hear more? We’re happy to visit.
