They were offered free choice salt, mineral and apple cider vinegar. In May they were turned out on grass with our herd bulls, with the same free choice mineral program. In December they were brought home and have been fed grass bales and chopped hay in bale feeders, along- side the herd bulls until mid-April. They were then hauled to Stokka Ranch and fed a total mixed ration of oat/ field pea hay along with sugar beet tailings for energy and modified distill- ers for protein. Stokka bulls were on pasture during the grazing season and fed grass/ alfalfa mix hay until March 13, 2025. Bulls were then fed a total mixed ration of oat/field pea hay with beet tailings and a small amount of modi- fied distillers. These bulls have never had grain or silage. Our goal is for them to express themselves without being pushed, to encourage longevity. BULL PROGRAM: We can keep the bulls until May 20th free of charge.
