PREPARING LEADERS FOR A GLOBAL INDUSTRY
Hospitality is inherently global, and the Hospitality Manage - ment program reflects that reality through intentional inter - national engagement and partnerships. From its early years, the program has prioritized global exposure as an essential component of leadership development, preparing students to operate confidently in diverse markets and cultural contexts. A cornerstone of this effort is the program’s partnership with AURO University in Surat, India. Founded by H.P. Rama, co-founder of the Asian American Hotel Owners Association (AAHOA), AURO University is known internationally for producing exceptional hospitality leaders. KSU signed an agreement with AURO in 2023 to develop student and faculty exchanges between both institutions. Through AURO, KSU students gain access to international academic and industry networks, collaborative learning op - portunities, and exposure to global best practices in hospitali- ty education and operations.
This partnership extends learning beyond borders, offering students insight into international service standards, opera- tional models, and leadership approaches. It also creates path - ways for faculty collaboration, joint initiatives, and future edu - cation abroad opportunities that deepen global understanding. Looking ahead, the Hospitality Management program plans to expand global engagement through targeted international experiences and partnerships in key hospitality markets, in - cluding the Caribbean, Europe, and Asia. These regions offer diverse perspectives on tourism, resort management, luxury hospitality, and emerging service models. By embedding a global perspective into the academic and experiential framework, the program ensures graduates are prepared not only for domestic leadership roles, but for ca - reers in an interconnected hospitality industry where cultural awareness and adaptability are essential.
