Welcome to WR Bar Ranch, where we produce cattle that are Bred, Developed, and Managed for BALANCE! This year we will be offering 34 Balanced Trait Angus Bulls that offer proper structure, excellent performance, strong balance, and more importantly they are backed by over 60 years of strict selection for maternal function! The bulls are currently being developed at Platte SD at the Former River Hills Ranch and will be moved to Rose, NE the end of March/first of April for additional viewing and their BSE! We are in never before seen times with record prices and demand for beef, yet an ever shrinking American Cowherd. As the world speeds up and runs more and more on DATA, we need to continue an evolve and use tools that are available to us to help us make the best decisions we can and more over MINIMIZE OUR RISK as we strive to meet beef needs of consumers! WR Bar has settled on using AgBoost Genomics to offer you a real insight into what each potential Herdsire offers you in a progressive data driven matter, but in a simple presentation that allows you to make complex decisions easily! We feel that by combining visual appraisal, production records, preg sheets, and now AgBoost Genomics to give us an inside view of the animals potential, that we can eliminate undesirables faster while also not adding holes into our herds that we couldn’t see before until 5-10 years down the line! Using all these tools will also help us identify the best bull to fit each operation’s specific need, from Calving Ease, Performance, Fertility, to Carcass! AgBoost also gives us an actual way to prove and show the true balance trait selection that has occurred at WR Bar over the last 60 years!
