When compared to the public sector, pay range midpoints for benchmarked jobs in the AS and TS pay schedules lag the median salaries by amounts ranging from -7.0% and -0.7% respectively. The graph below shows the percentages by which the average classified pay schedule midpoint lags or leads the corresponding public and private sector median for benchmarked jobs.
