GRAHAM invests in the development, skills and training of their people.

A ‘DIAMOND’ ACHIEVEMENT – GRAHAM CONGRATULATES THE CEF... GRAHAM

T he Graham name is synonymous with the Construction Employers Federation. And we are proud of this fact. Our current Group Executive Chairman, Michael Graham, his father, and his grandfather before him, have all held the esteemed

of strength, we launched our rebrand in 2018, shaped around “delivering lasting impact” within the communities where we all work, live and relax. Rooted in this message is our people, over 2,200 of them operating across 26 regional offices, who are the driving force behind our success. They set us apart. That is why we continue to significantly invest in their development, skills and training, and to drive our culture towards one focussed on Fairness, Inclusion and Respect. Equally, their wellbeing is our priority, and this is reflected in our recently launched mental wellbeing strategy. At its heart is a trained 80-strong team of Mental Health First Aiders spread across our business to listen and to lighten the burden. In the midst of this pandemic, now more than ever, construction must respond effectively to the collective challenges ahead. We must be a more attractive industry, one that appeals to a diverse population so that we can compete

with other sectors, and harness the intelligence and creativity of the brightest talent around. Looming large, is the climate emergency, which is also accelerating at pace. As a consequence, our CSR approach has pivoted towards the UN Sustainable Development Goals, adopting them as a framework to support us in achieving a better and more sustainable future for all. In parallel, the advancement of digital tools, the promotion of modern methods of construction, and the effective application of big data, are not only helping us build smarter, but more sustainably. Collaborating and sharing best practice will ensure we rise to these interlinked risks and challenges. And this is the key to the longevity of the CEF, and why GRAHAM will continue to be an active participant and an ardent supporter. On behalf of all of us at GRAHAM, well done on your 75 years.

Chair of the CEF throughout its decorated history. As the CEF

celebrates its diamond anniversary, it has been a privilege for us to be a part of it, to continuously learn from peers and leaders in our industry, and to help shape and influence the construction agenda in Northern Ireland and beyond. Like the CEF, GRAHAM has come a long way over the last 75 years. Emerging from humble beginnings as a small family firm in Dromore (Co. Down), we are now a leading player in the UK and Irish markets with a proven track record in delivering exemplar building, civil engineering, interior fit-out, facilities management and investment projects.
