P &K McKaigue Ltd is a family run business with over 40 years’ experience in the Construction Industry. Over the years we have successfully completed a wide range of construction projects for both the public and private sectors. We have developed a pragmatic approach to building contracts and project delivery. This ethos has helped us develop a strong network of Clients and Architects over the years that is further enhanced by trust, sound ethics and consistency. In 1974 Patrick Mckaigue formed Patrick McKaigue Building Contractors as a legitimate business. A bricklayer by trade, Patrick has been involved in the Industry from the late sixties. Sub- contracting to main firms formed the bulk of the company’s early work. In 1987 the company took its first step into the world of mainstream contracting. Local contracts followed a successful spell in private development. In 1993 the company became a Partnership, P&K McKaigue Building Contractors, the K standing for
Patrick’s wife Kathleen. In April 2002, P&K McKaigue Building Contractors became a Limited Company. In 2016, P&K purchased commercial land off the Glen Road at the bottom of the busy arterial route of the Glenshane Pass and constructed new purpose-built offices to become a base of operations. On January 4th, 2018, P&K took the historic step of moving into its new state of the art offices which includes an expansive storage yard. These acts being a physical statement of intent and ambition for the company. P&K McKaigue have been a member of the CEF for two years. We saw it as the natural progression for our business and appreciated the benefits and opportunities it could bring. Since joining we have found the help and assistance offered from the CEF very valuable. Being a member also gives us a positive forum to correspond with our fellow competitors. In these unprecedented times we have found the support from the CEF very beneficial and they have fought hard to protect the industry
and represent us all in a united front It’s a credit to any organisation that can boast a 75-year existence and it is testament to the work and forward thinking that the CEF have created as a culture within their organisation.
