Community Happenings Winter
Celebrations and Cultural Delights There was no shortage of festivities to brighten up the winter months: King Charles’s Birthday was marked with a right royal celebration. Christmas in July had everyone donning festive spirit with decorations, music, and cheer. International cuisine was enjoyed across the season — including a taste of Germany, a French inspired feast, and an Indian Independence Day celebration. Residents also shared in the fun of International Tattoo Day, with plenty of laughter and creativity on display. Birthdays were celebrated each month with delicious cakes, music, and gatherings that brought everyone together.
Creative Spirits Crafting, cooking, and creativity thrived this winter. The craft room buzzed with activity, from painting roses and making NAIDOC Week projects, to everyday arts and crafts. Baking sessions included meringues with berries, red velvet cupcakes, carrot cake, and plenty of sweet treats shared with friends. Residents also enjoyed writing, puzzles, book club, and friendly games of bingo and carpet bowls, proving there’s always something to do at Cumberland View. 5
