Our HQ is nestled away in the Essex countryside and, from our professional office team to our workshop engineers, we produce timeless bathroom products to last a lifetime. It has never been more important to create a personal space to relax, as well as invigorate, and that is why every bath, basin, cabinet and tap that we create is made with you in mind. Over the last 22 years, we have expanded our range of freestanding baths to include both compact and spacious designs in luxury materials such as hand worked Copper (Page 4) and our exclusive Cian® solid-surfacing (Page 48). Our brand-new painting workshop allows us to add a splash of colour to any roll top bath (page 46) in our range and all our Victrion brassware (page 125) is plated to order in the UK. 2022/2023 sees us expand our designs into ceramics (page 110) and furniture (page 116), focusing on traditional profiles and shapes, making this our largest brochure yet! We hope you enjoy!

1 THE CLASSIC Roll Top

At BC Designs we know and love classic design and materials but also appreciate the value of modern techniques. Each traditional acrylic and copper roll top bath reproduction is crafted with the original in mind but in modern materials for comfort and ease of installation. Our bespoke colour service is done in house in our painting workshop and now extends to copper baths as well as our classic acrylic roll tops. Our new range of copper & brass baths are made in the traditional hand- crafted manner used for centuries and plated in our exciting choice of finishes.

Why choose copper? Heat Retention Copper baths retain the heat of your water for much longer than acrylic versions. The temperature is much better than an acrylic bath meaning that you can have a longer soak without topping up your tub! Hygiene A little-known fact that few homeowners are aware of is that copper is actually a super metal when it comes to killing germs. While most viruses can last for days on steel and glass, they are killed within hours or sometimes minutes on copper! The same applies to Brass as well! So, for those deciding on a bathroom renovation, copper baths and basins not only look stunning and bring a touch of luxury to a bathroom project but they also provide a really important function in helping the room to stay germ free. Finish Options Our Copper range is incredibly versatile and we have expanded our range to include Antique, Verdigris, Patinata and Enamel finishes alongside Nickel & Tin. Our copper baths BC Designs beautiful copper baths are handcrafted using traditional techniques. They are hand-made and every bathtub is a unique work of art completely different from one to the next. All of the curves and bends are made with no more than a hammer, an experienced eye and a strong arm. Variations and undulations will occur which is why each piece is distinctive. There will be blemishes, marks and small scratches in some areas and inevitably, due to the authentic characteristics of the material, surface textures will be visible. Our copper baths add character to a bathroom and you have the option of maintaining its beautiful shine or leaving it to age and weather over time. Our copper baths are made from 99.5%+ 15-18 gauge pure copper.

Polished Copper, Brass & Enamel finishes unlacquered Routinely clean with warm water and a non abrasive cloth and dry immediately after use. Avoid dripping taps, sharp objects and the use of harsh chemicals. Maintain the finish by re-applying a suitable wax seal (we recommend Renaissance Wax) regularly every 4-6 weeks depending on use. More usage will require more maintenance. If the wax wears off and oxidisation develops on the copper surface, clean the bath with a fine metal cleaner, such as Autosol, and then re-apply the wax. Please be aware that these models are not lacquered and will require regular maintenance to keep them shiny.

Tin finishes unlacquered
Non abrasive cleaner or warm water - do not use wire bristled brushes or corrosive chemicals. Routinely clean with warm water and a non abrasive cloth and dry immediately after use. Antique Copper, Verdigris & Patinata finishes lacquered
To keep the nickel finish in premium condition, the wax seal should be maintained by regular reapplication. Do not use abrasive metal cleaner on nickel plated items as this could wear through the finish. A small amount of 'Peek' metal cleaner can be used on minor tarnishing.
Our Tin Boat bath requires little maintenance. Routinely clean with warm water and a non abrasive cloth and dry immediately after use.

Verdigris / Patinata An original design by Barrie Cutchie, available in six finish combinations.
Our Copper Boat Baths are made in the traditional hand crafted manner used for centuries, and therefore there will be gentle undulations and some colour variation in the finish so every bath is unique to you. Copper Baths are excellent heat conductors and will maintain the water temperature much longer than Cast Iron versions. Even after the bath has been emptied it will remain warm to the touch.
