We have been sustainable for more than 100 years. KALDEWEI bathroom solutions made of steel enamel are nothing more than two absolutely pure natural raw materials that are fused together: Steel and glass. The manufacturing process is completely non-toxic. Every- thing happens by means of a natural reaction of the two elements by means of massive forces during the deep drawing of the blanks and the eternally binding effect of extreme heat in the furnace. With KALDEWEI steel enamel one could also speak of an ecological “law of purity”. Our shower surfaces, washba- sins and bathtubs are therefore built to last for a long time. They can last for generations. They remain beautiful forever. Our actions are driven by creating products that last. We want to beautify the “bathroom experience” for decades for people who use a KALDEWEI product in the bathroom. We create values that are sustainable due to their unusually long lifespan. And 100 percent recyclable.

KALDEWEI steel enamel is 100 percent recyclable and practically invincible. Daily stresses on the material and design such as water, cleaning agents, alkalis, or simply dirt damage surfaces in the bathroom. Our steel enamel stays like new for decades. The surfaces are scratch and impact resistant, heat resistant, remain colourfast even after decades, are timelessly beautiful and robust. Steel enamel is easy to care for like no other material in the bathroom. This makes it as sterile and hygienic as possible because nothing sticks to it. And to ensure it stays that way, we have been continuously ex- panding our material expertise for four generations and continue to research even better solutions every day.
When it comes to bathroom hygiene, steel enamel is the gold standard. This is because germs do not like smooth, pore-free surfaces. Every bathroom is a sensitive hygiene area due to the widely varying temperatures and high humidity. In less durable and more open materials, such as tiled shower surfaces and their joints, scratches and cracks form gradually, in which uninvited, microscopic guests can nestle. And stay there too. A fully enamelled shower surface, on the other hand, is closed, so dirt simply flows off.
