There are two types of bathroom personalities: shower people or those who prefer to bath. For some, a long shower is the way to clear their heads in the morning, whereas for others, an evening bath is to time to unwind. When planning a new bathroom, it is wise to understand your preference and make that a priority in a scheme – and if space is tight, a shower over the bath combination can be a compromise. When choosing a new shower, it is important to consider what type of water effect you would like, not only the finished look. An overhead shower gives a greater and more consistent distribution of water, whereas a handheld shower is ideal for a powerful and direct spray – also great for rinsing down your space.
THE PLANTS
Pretty green When it comes to adding impact, a houseplant is the simplest of decoration fixes. A humid-loving orchid next to a shower or a spider plant on a windowsill will change the atmosphere of a space – as well as lifting spirits. A few tips: • T all plants are great for corners and can be a focal point in a room • Palms will add a tropical vibe. Ferns will also thrive • S mall plants look good in groups of threes with varying heights • U se glass bowls instead of pots so you can admire the roots too
