Evans Jones, the Cheltenham-based firm of construction consultants, planners, surveyors and access consultants, has appointed a new senior quantity surveyor. David Marks has joined the firm, bringing over 25 years’ experience working across a range of construction projects in the retail, heritage, healthcare and education sectors. David’s previous position was at Gleeds, the global property and construction consultancy, where he held the post of senior quantity surveyor for 12 years. David’s past experience covers the full range of cost management roles. Peter Belton, head of project consultancy at Evans Jones, said: “We are delighted to welcome David to the team. in securing £2 million from Homes England in 2015, which kickstarted work to bring the development forward. This has now been match-funded by Stroud District Council. Together, these contributions will enable the council to select a developer partner to create a unique waterside attraction.
