The Ellensburg historic downtown is a lively center for creativity and art, with galleries and restaurants collaborating for events like the First Friday Art Walk, showcasing the region’s finest talents. The downtown area also boasts chic boutiques, dining spots, beauty salons, and much more. Ellensburg offers CWU students free transportation. Take a ride around town for grocery shopping, getting to and from school, or during winter snowfalls.

LEARN ACROSS WASHINGTON STATE CWU offers degrees and programs at University Centers located in Des Moines and Lynnwood. These locations put you close to Seattle and other major employers including Boeing, Microsoft, and Amazon. UNIVERSITY ENGLISH AS A SECOND LANGUAGE At UESL, our program is designed for students who have already achieved an intermediate level or above in English and are eager to elevate their language proficiency even further. Our mission is to help you excel in both language and academic skills while fostering a deep appreciation for diverse cultures. WORLDCAT The WorldCat Institute is an enriching one-to-six-week academic and cultural experience program where you will immerse yourself in intensive English language training, engage with conversation partners, and participate in exciting afternoon activities and weekend excursions. The program fees cover everything you need, including tuition, materials, in-country transportation, cultural visits, and housing and food for the entire length of your stay.
