Gorffennol Mini Edition March 2024

Epilogue

We would like to thank everyone who submitted to this special edition. Each essay

we received was of outstanding quality and it was so encouraging to see so many

interested in the project.

This edition has been a pleasure to produce and we are proud to have provided the

opportunity to students of the Pandemic to have shared their work as they would

have done in normal times. One of the important intentions of this mini-edition was to

aid the reestablishment of the community of History students at the University. As

prominent members of the Society Committee, we have worked hard to build this

community on a social level. It has been an honour to therefore contribute in the

academic sense to the staff/student community as well.

This was a passion project of the Committee under Society funds and branding. It

must be noted, that it does not adhere to the editing standard of the official

Gorffennol journal, as it features the work of editors. However, we hope that it will

help inspire the more formal re-establishment of the Journal for the new intake years

and that there will be a desire amongst future students to continue its legacy.

This edition, finally, would not have been possible without the support of Swansea

University’s History faculty. It is as much a testament to their teaching throughout the

Pandemic, that has continued to inspire excellent work, such as the essays

presented in this issue.
