Board Member Resignation Replacement Process

Background: With the resignation of Director Mosley, several options exist regarding the filling of his term. Most important is the process used to fill his term. As you know, the steps the Board can use are: 1. Appoint someone to fill the vacancy outright 2. Ask for applications, review/interview and appoint 3. Leave the seat open until the next election. With the resignation, an appointment also needs to be made to fill the now vacant A&A Committee Chairperson spot, which Director Mosley held. Consideration can also be given to the moving of Director Hare’s term to fill the remainder of what Director Mosley’s term still had, which was until March of 2023 and let the new appointee, if considered, take up the remaining term which expires in March of next year. Motion(s) for Consideration: To approve extending Director Hare’s term to complete the term recently vacated by the resignation of Director Mosley AND To appoint Director Leahy as Chair of the A&A Committee as a result of the resignation of Chair Mosley.
