Placement considerations
Indoor Placement • Select a location that is easily accessible by carriers & residents (ideally this is on ground level and not in underground parking structures) • Ensure the hub does not block critical building elements (e.g. emergency shut off valves, fire alarms, thermostats, utility access points, drain covers, etc.) • There needs to be a 36” clearance between the front of the Hub and any pathway obstructions; California requires at least 48” clearance • Height clearance is 7’ (Locker is 6’9” and we require at least 3” of overhead clearance)
Outdoor Placement • Select a location that is easily accessible by package carriers & residents • The outdoor Hub is equipped with lighting for evening use. To limit issues with residents, it is important to consider a location that will limit the light shining into residential units. • If the proposed location is near drive lanes, consider the safety of users when standing at the Hub. • The Hub can only be installed on concrete or asphalt • Ground slope cannot rise or fall more than 2” at its farthest point • Place the Hub in close proximity to electrical disconnect box • Cannot be within 5’ of propane takes and other combustible items • Height clearance is 7’3”
• Avoid direct sunlight or cover with awning
