What is Continuous Glucose Monitoring?

It’s Time to Enroll: Make Your 2026 Benefit Selections Today

Continuous glucose monitoring (or CGM) is a process in which a device on the body provides real-time data about blood sugar levels. For those with diabetes, this information can be invaluable in safely managing their condition. The best way to use CGMs is in partnership with a healthcare provider to interpret the results and coordinate a personalized healthcare strategy.

Open Enrollment is here — your once-a-year opportunity to review your benefits and make updates for 2026! Take a few minutes between November 3–17 to log in to pultebenefits.bswift.com and confirm your elections, add or remove dependents, and ensure your information is up to date. It’s also a great time to update your cell phone number and opt in for text messaging, so you don’t miss important benefit reminders and wellness updates throughout the year. But What About Those with Prediabetes? Nearly three quarters of people who are diagnosed as prediabetic by 45 years of age will eventually develop type 2 diabetes.* While CGMs are not an approved medical device for people with prediabetes under insurance plans, there are over- the-counter devices that may be deemed appropriate by a healthcare provider. If you are prediabetic, connect with your provider for further discussion. *According to the American Diabetes Association’s® journal, Clinical Diabetes. Prediabetes is defined as a fasting blood glucose level from 100?125 mg/dL and an A1C of 5.7- 6.4%.

As you review your elections, keep these important updates in mind for the year ahead. Employees can now elect up to $500,000 in Supplemental Life coverage (and spouses up to $43,000 ) without Evidence of Insurability (EOI) — available during this enrollment period only. If you’re enrolling a new dependent, be sure to complete the dependent verification process by December 1, 2025 , by submitting the required documentation (marriage and/or birth certificate).
