SATURDAY, 30 Unchangeable. "Now before the feast of the passover, when Jesus knew that his hour was come that he should depart out of this world unto the Father, having loved his own which were in the world, he loved them unto the end.”— John 13:1. SUNDAY, 81 Coming for us. “ For the Lord him self Bhall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.”— 1 These. 4:16, 17. Pray for His Craning. m “ THREE AND ONE-HALF YEARS” Christ’s earthly ministry covered not quite three and one-half years— from early A.D. 27 to the late spring of A.D. 30. His baptism, according to the best authorities, probably oc curred late in December, A.D. 26, or during January, A.D. 27. The early part of 1927 will therefore mark the 1900th anniversary of that event, and the three and one-half years immed iately following will a little more than cover the 1900th anniversary of His public ministry. Watch Night this year (1926) falls on Friday; which makes it possible to hold a TEN DAYS PRAYER MEET ING which shall Include both Watch Night and the annual Week of Prayer __beginning (as has already been widely suggested) with the Watch Night meeting, Friday night, Dec. 31, and continuing through to Sunday, Jan. 9. Many hundreds of the Lord’s people in various places have already signified their willingness to endeavor to arrange for the prayerful obser vance of this period. Would it not be pleasing to the Lord if His people everywhere would be found at the opening of 1927 in one great world-wide ten days season of penitential fasting and prayer in worthy commemoration of His bap tism and the opening of His public ministry? Who can tell but that in His gracious, sovereign power He would be moved to pour out His spirit in world-wide blessing? “ He will be yery gracious unto thee at the voice

Rev. I. C. Horton, 536 South Hope Street, Los Angeles, California. My dear Brother:

Permit me to express my very high apprecia tion of your magazine, "THE KING'S BUSINESS." I have just read the August number, which is worth the price of the magazine for a whole year. I have been a reader of "THE KING'S BUSINESS” for only a short while, and am so well pleased with it that it is my purpose to have it -on my reading list for the rest of my life. Dr. F. E. Marsh's articles are worth many times the price of the magazine. I hope Dr. Marsh may see his way clear to put in book form his series now running in "THE'KING'S BUSINESS." In these days of high-sounding terms and polished sentences behind which many modern writers are hiding when they strike at orthodox Christianity, it is refresh ing to have a religious publication come to your desk that is clear-cut, fearless, cburageous and sound in the old doctrine of the inspiration of the Bible and salvation by grace. May God bless your labors continually and give you many years more of useful service, is my prayer. Sincerely yours,

JTR:W of thy cry; when He shall hear It, He jvlll answer thee” (Isa. 30:19). Is He not waiting to be enquired of? Nay, Is He not more willing to give than the Church is to ask? “ If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land” (2 Chron. 7 :14 ). "Repent ye therefore, AND TURN AGAIN," O Church of God, “ that your sins may be blotted out, that so there may come seasons of refreshing from the presence of the Lord; and that He may send the Christ who hath been appointed for you, even Jesus” (Acts 3:19, 20, R. V.). Pray for the Church’s Revival!

REV. F. A. CONNERS BECOMES PASTOR OF CALVARY BAPTIST CHURCH All Fundamentalists will be glad to know that Rev. F. A. Conners, that valiant “ Defender of the Faith,” has recently accepted a call to become pas tor of the Calvary Baptist Church of Flint, Michigan, and the work of the church has already felt the impetus of his Spirit-filled service and initiative. New members are being constantly re ceived, and a number are awaiting baptism. Pray for this dear brother that his ministry may be increasingly fruitful. m A “ JEW” -DICIAL DECISION as to the Authenticity and Verity of the Bible as the Word of God. Is the Bible true? Well, just look at a Jew and his very presence, Is the proof for you. T. C. H. »
