HOW TO ACCESS ELECTRONIC SCORE OPTOS

Electronic scoring optos are used on newer games built after Sept 2022.

The opto switches are located under the playfield. There is an adjustment dial on the opto sensor that can

be adjusted with a small screwdriver. Refer to “How to Adjust Opto Sensors”

Instructions: Access to the back of the game will be required.

Remove the 4 screws from the rear cover using the #2 square bit included in the hardware kit. (Part # A5DBSQ020)

Remove the back panel to access the score optos.

Normally, there should be only 1 green LED on. (The second LED should only go on if on object is in front of it. This means the opto has power and will score once the ball goes through the hole.

If the opto has both green LED’s on, then it thinks a ball is passing through and will score automatically. First - clean the emitter and detectors on the tip of the opto sensor board with a Q-tip.

If both LED lights are still on, then the sensor will need to be adjusted. Refer to “How to Adjust Opto Sensors”

If an opto sensor needs to be replaced: Remove the 1 Phillips screw and remove the opto sensor.

To install: Install the Phillips screw through the new opto and install into the wood. Then re-connect the cable.

Important - Make sure that the cable is plugged in so that the white plastic knobs are positioned down and away from the wood playfield.
