the Church pass through the great tribula­ tion7'' In answer to this we would say, that it is clear from the Bible that the Church will pass through "tribitlation." Paul and Bar­ nabas taught the disciples in Lystra and Icon­ ium and Antioch ''That through many tribu­ lations . we must enter into the kingdom of God.'' But to say that the Church will pass through tribulation, or many tribulations, is not at all.to say that the Church will pass through '' the great tribulation.'' In the great tribulation God deals with a Christ­ rejecting world. The tribulation bas to do with the Jew primarily and not with the Gentile. The whole book of Revelation after chapter 4 :1 bas to do with the time after the rapture of the Church. There is much to indicate that the Church will be shielded during this period. Of course, by the Church we mean the true Church, all those who are united to Jesus Obrist by a living faith. In connection with the reference to the great tribulation our Lord says, ''Watch ye at every seas?n, making supplication, that ye may prevail to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man" (Luke 21 :36).
