'' The gifts and the call­ ing of God are not repented of", and though Israel has proven untrue to the covenant of God, yet God remains faithful. At present they are enemies for our sake, but as touch­ ing the election they are beloved for the fathers' sake and in due time in connection with the Return of our Lord, God will have mercy upon them all (cf Rom. 11:28-32). Israel shall be cleansed from all their :filthi­ ness and from all their idols, a new heart will be given unto them, and a new spirit put within them, the stony heart shall be taken away from them and they shall be given a heart of flesh; God will put His Spirit with­ in them and cause them to walk in His sta­ tutes, and they shall keep His judgments and do them. This in every detail is a matter of Divine prediction. Jehovah Himself says through the prophet Ezekiel, "Neither shall they defile themselves any more with their idols, nor with their detestable things, nor with any of their transgressions but I will save them out of all their dwelling places, wherein they have sinned, and will cleanse them; so shall they be my people, and I will
