insects that we bear in the air is not a song of joy but the sound of pain, but the glad day is coming when pain and disease and death will cease among the lower orders of creation as well as among men. Nature fell in connection with the fall of man, the head of the earthly creation, and in his redemption the creation shall be redeemed also, and this will be fulfilled in connection with the com ing of Christ. The prophet Isaiah says in Is. 55 :13, ' ' Instead of the thorn shall come up the fir-tree; and instead of the brier shall come up the myrtle-tree; and it shall be to J ebovah for a name, for an ever lasting sign that shall not be cut off." This is not poetry and figure but the revel ation of literal facts that shall take place upon this earth. Again Isaiah says in Is. 65 :25, "The wolf and the lamb shall feed together, and the lion shall eat straw like an ox; and dust shall be the serpent's food. They shall not hurt nor destroy in all ~Y holy mountain saith Jehovah.'' The carniv- , the erous beast shall be changed-not even th wolf will destroy the lamb-they shall, ~;be feed on the grass.
