(Is. 32 :15). And once more we read, '' The wilderness and the dry land shall be glad ; and the desert shall rejoice, and blossom as the rose. It shall blossom abundantly, and rejoice even with joy and singing; the glory of Lebanon shall be given unto it, the excellency of Carmel and Sharon; they shall see the glory of Jehovah, the excel lency of our God'' (Is. 35 :1, 2). The most desolate parts of the earth shall become more beautiful and fruitful than the most fertile portions of the earth are to-day. 2. Bright as the foregoing picture is, even a better day is coming-THERE SHALL BE A NEW HEAVEN AND A NEW EARTH. We read in TI Pet. 3 :12, 13, ''Looking for and earnestly desiring the coming of the day of God, by reason of which the heavens be ing on fire sbaH be dissolved, and the ele ments shall melt with fervent heat. But according to his promise, we LOOK FOR NEW HEAVENS AND A NEW EARTH, Wherein dwelleth righteousness.'' We see a picture of the fulfillment of this prophecy in Rev. 21 :1-5, "And I saw a new heaven and a new earth; for the first heaven and the first earth are passed away; and the sea is no more. And I saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming
