SERVICES FITNESS Our FITNESS PROs are Certified Personal Trainers, Exercise Specialist, and Wellness Coaches with specializations in areas such as corrective exercise, golf, weight loss, and sports performance. They are skilled at creating personal fitness programs customized for you. The fitness team at ANCC will focus on your goals while making sure that your sessions are fun and engaging.

FITNESS JUNIOR Junior - 16/17 year olds Junior - 13-15 year olds

The Junior A & B Fitness & Wellness program was developed to educate our Juniors to our center and help them develop regular exercise habits. After completion of an orientation ($65), Junior A members are allowed to use the center unaccompanied. Junior B members are allowed to use the center with a parent or guardian after completion of the 3-session Junior B certification ($175).

FITNESS PRO TEAM

JAY GUILLORY is the Director of Fitness & Wellness and is certified by NASM, ACE, and AFAA. He has worked in various roles in the fitness industry for over 30 years. He can be reached at jay.guillory@ancc.org

DENNY PINICH is the Assistant Director of Fitness & Wellness and is certified by NASM. He specializes in corrective exercise and has been here at Army Navy for over 20 years. He can be reached at denny.pinch@ancc.org

KATIE VEST is the Group Fitness Supervisor and is a certified Exercise Physiologist with ACSM. She has a BS in Kinesiology from VCU and has worked as a Fitness and Physical Therapy Technician. She can be reached at katie.elliott@ancc.org

ANDREW TESSLER is a NASM certified personal trainer and nutrition coach. He specializes in helping clients improve their mobility, flexibility, muscle building, and weight loss. In addition to fitness, he is an avid golfer. He can be reached at andrew.tessler.ancc@outlook.com

SOPHIA CHEROS is a NSCA certified strength and conditioning specialist. Sophia is currently working on a Masters in Exercise Science and serves as a collegiate strength and conditioning coach at The George Washington University. They can be reached at sophia.cheros.ancc@outlook.com.

JUSTIN LUPONE is a certified personal trainer and performance training specialist with NASM. He is a graduate assistant at The George Washington University where he is pursuing a master's in Exercise Physiology. Justin can be reached at justin.lupone.ancc@outlook.com.

GRIFFIN SHAER is a certified Exercise Physiologist with ACSM and holds a BS in Exercise Physiology from Ohio University. He has worked in the fitness industry for almost 10 years as a freelance Health and Wellness

SAMANTHA PLOTT (Sammy) is a NASM certified personal trainer, backed by a Bachelor’s degree in Fitness and Health Promotion. Beyond her role in the fitness realm, she serves as an Active-Duty member of the United States Air Force. She can be reached at samantha.plott.ancc@outlook.com.

Small Group Training (SGT)

Buddy Sessions Want to share a personal trainer with another member? These 45-minute sessions are a great way to have fun and stay motivated on a budget. Working out with a partner isn’t just fun, it also keeps you accountable. Get the personalized attention of individual training with the camaraderie and competitive spirit of team training.

These 45-minute 3 or 4 person sessions are great for groups who are focusing on the same goals. For instance, if you and 2 (or 3) of your friends all play tennis, our Fitness PROs can design a workout to help you increase your speed, agility, and quickness. 4 sessions/3 people $185/person

GOLF

Join Fitness PRO and TRX Golf Specialist, Katie Elliott, for 5 - 45 minute golf specific training sessions that utilize TRX equipment and programming to train golf specific skills and movement. This course created with Dr. Greg Rose (co-founder of the Titileist Performance Institute) will give you mobility when you need it and stability when you want it, which will result in more consistent strokes and the ability to hit the ball even further.

PROCEDURES POLICIES

Prior to initial assessments, new clients must submit completed Par-Q Health History paperwork to their trainer. The personal trainer and the fitness department reserve the right to request medical clearance from a licensed medical professional if necessary. Clients must immediately communicate any concerns, discomfort or pain arising from their personal training sessions with their personal trainer. Standard 24-hour cancellation applies to all scheduled training, reformer, and spa sessions. Cancellation within 24-hours (up until an hour before the scheduled service) is 50% of the cost of the scheduled service or forfeiture of the scheduled session. Cancellation within an hour of the appointment will result in a full session charge or forfeiture of the scheduled session. Please inform your trainer (text or email) or contact the fitness desk if you are running late. If arriving late, the session will end at the scheduled time regardless of the start time. If arriving late, the session will be charged fully based on the original appointment. NO SHOWS CANCELLATIONS EXPIRATIONS PACKAGE All personal training packages are purchased with a two-session per week understanding (unless otherwise discussed with the Fitness PRO). Packages have a 2-week grace period before the package expires. For example, the eight 30-minute package would be completed in four weeks (2 sessions per week). This would give it a 6-week expiration date.
