Ryde Newsletter - Jan 2025

General Manager’s Message Happy New Year to each and every one of you and thank you for all your hard work in 2024. January has seen a lot of redevelopment activity and there will be further significant changes on the campus in the first half of 2025; moving of ICU, Food Services, Physiotherapy, Engineering, Executive, Chapel/Multifaith Room, Integrated Booking Unit, People and Culture Support Services, Admin, Linen Store, Mortuary, Stores/Supply, Loading Dock and the Redevelopment team which will see the conclusion of the interim works and relocations. Then there will be sigh of relief as we enter a period of transition for the next 2 to 3 years while the main new hospital is built.

In the meantime, we have the Decommissioning of the Ryde Chapel on 10 February 2025 to which staff are welcome to attend, the Time in Service celebrations and the opportunity to nominate for the Exceptional People Awards. I would encourage all of you to look around and nominate someone as we have so many exceptional people at Ryde. If you have any questions about what is happening on the campus please do not hesitate to contact either the Redevelopment team or the Executive and seek some answers. We are looking to re-energise our Health, Safety and Wellbeing Committee. If you are interested in being part of this please speak to your line manager, our WHS Consultant, Christina Lui, or a member of the Executive.
